Au Pair's Message to Families
My name is Maraike and I am from Germany. I am looking to aupair for a family either in the Seattle area, since I am taking some time off after school to open my mind to other cultures, and maybe see if the US would be a place for me to study. I just came back from 2 months in Spain to get some basic language knowledge, so I would also like to go to aupair for your family in Spain to learn some more Spanish.
I recently graduated from what would equal High School (Abitur). I am very outgoing and friendly. I love children and I think I could consider myself as a good role model, as I like reading, as much as I like to be creative. Engaging them in different activities and see kids grow up and learn something new every single day is what makes "working" with them so interesting for me. And I do believe it's not just a saying - a child's smile means a whole lot :)
