Nanny's Message to Families

Dear Family

I am a very young girl looking for an opportunity to show my dedication and vast experience related to children with a friendly family in your beautiful and also friendly country. I am mostly hoping to become a big sister for your children.

My experience started when I was about to turn 15 and my parents got divorced. It came as a terrible blow and I had to renounce to my own dreams. My mother started to work and I had to take care of my little brother who was only 6 at that time. I learnt how to cook, how to clean the house and the laundry and above all I had to find the time to succeed with my homework, but I succeeded in everything. I finished high school with very high qualifications but, again, and unfortunately due to the lack of money, I had to give up on my dreams and I could not continue my studies at the university.

I would very much love to become an early childhood educator or a psychologist. I have realized that I might achieve my goals one day through the live in caregiver program which allows you to apply for Permanent Residence after two years of work with a Canadian family as your sponsor. I would love to find a family that I can take as my own and where I can stay for ever is possible.

Thanks to the support of a non profit organization I have been able to study English. I know I still need a lot of practice that is why I am also requesting a interview so that you can make up your own mind.

I also finished an intensive training related to child care and elderly care for about a year where I studied first aids and CPR along with child care and management of disasters. During this time, I also had to find a job as a nanny with a lovely family here in my country.

I know that I do not have an impressive resume but I am sure I am a good person. I am a very tolerant and perseverant. I also have genuine love for children and I love to protect them and listen to them when they have a problem. I still keep a child like heart inside of me. I still feel one of them when I have to take care of them. I am highly responsible and very family oriented. I would very much love to take care of newly born babies or toddlers so that I can also have the chance to grow with them. I am not the typical kind of girl who likes to go party all the time. I know I had to grow up a little earlier, and I thank God for everything. I deeply love both my parents and I understand they could not afford to give me a better education. The financial situation is difficult for most families in my country.

I have almost one year and a half of experience as a nanny taking care of a baby girl since she was born, not to mention, my experience as a nanny of my own little brother for over 5 years. During the time as a nanny, I have had to change diapers, wash clothes, bathe, play with the baby and be responsible of her well being during the time that her parents were away at work. I can cook very delicious and healthy food. I hate junk food and I take good care of the people around me, I can also swim, but I do not know how to drive, although I am currently learning to do it. The family, I currently work for, has treated me as one of their own and they have always encouraged me to follow my own dreams and find a job in Canada, I would very much love to find the same support at your home.
