Au Pair's Message to Families

I love baking, help in homework, light housework, full-time, teach spanish, I love softball...

Dear family, Thanks for your preference!. Please read me so you can know me a little bit.

My name is Rebeca , I'm 18 years old and I recently got graduated from a private catholic/christian Highschool. I'm from Hermosillo, Sonora, México.

I decided to be an au pair because it will be an amazing experience that will make me grow up more in all ways being more responsible and independient, improving my English and learning about the other culture, think that being your au pair will be an amazing experience for both of us.

I'm planning to work as an au pair to pay my career next year. I want to study in a professional beauty school in Vancouver, Blanche Macdonald Centre. Please understad, I need the money for my studies. I'm very responsible and hard working! I consider myself a really responsible person, caring, congeniality, very honest, simple, but most of all loving, I’m very easy going if you make me feel like part of your family (:

Now I'm going to talk about my experience in taking care of children.

I have taken care of my little cousins (and when they where newborns too but just for a few hours because they've had their own babysitters) on both sides of my family. I'm very carefully because I'm always affraid of what could happen to little kids. But I wouldn't be so satisfied taking care of newborns because I consider that job a little more experienced.

I'm very responsible and if your kids need help with homework or if they need to learn spanish or a little help with french I would do it! i'm very patient with children and I always like to explain things clearly to them.

I love to play with eather little boys or girls, there is no preference, I know everything about videogames, Star wars, bionicles, legos, etc. because of my cousins and my little brother.

I also LOVE dogs! cats are cool too, I'm not allergic to them. I've learned piano like for 4 months so I know some basic notes.

I live near a beach (1 hour distance) and it's pretty alone and so relaxing, I know how to swim since I was little and I've taken swimming classes too. And so I go often to family ranchs. I love ranch animals but most piggies! :D

I love to knit and do manual work for children as painting, do friendship bracelets, collars, crafts, etc. and so I love music (rock,pop,electronic) and singing. I also know a little of painting because of my mom, she sells modern art paintings made by herself and I used to paint too.

I also LOVE playing softball(baseball), I was the catcher on my team like for a year and I've practiced it for 5 years (since 12 years old). It is my favorite sport ever!

Family values, It's necesary. I respect other people's believes. I was raised in a catholic/christian family and school. I've been in private schools because my parents think that it's better and secure but I say that anywhere is. I know how real world could be, I'm an open mind person but responsible in my acts.

I have a valid driver licence for 4 years. I know what is first aids about and I am willing to take a fist aids course or class if it makes you more counfortable. I would take care of the children as long as you want in the day and do some light housework.

I know how to cook simple but delicious mexican meals (but don't worry, they're not all spicy), my mom teached me. I can prepare kids' food too I also eat some haha I don't like to eat a lot. I don't like meat but It's necesary to eat some for good healt. I also love to do desserts, I can make you a delicious mexican "Flan" or funny cartoon fondant cupcakes! I understand very well english but only if you don't talk to me so fast. I can speak english well I just need practice (and that's another reason I want to work as an au pair) because sometimes my mouth is not as fast as I really would like. I'm used to english since I was a little girl, I have family living in Tucson, Az. and Coronado, Ca. I've been learning basic english since kindergarden and then I learned advanced at my school and afternoon classes. And a little of french like for a year but I just learned the basics.

I have friends that are going as au pairs to Pennsylvania and Florida (Panama City) so It would be great if I get the possibility to work there or near and so if it's Coronado or Phoenix because I love those cities too. (I'm used to live in very warm places).
