Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Family,

First let me introduce myself. My name is Helen and I am 32. I live in big city called Tallinn, which is in the capital of Estonia. I like all kinds of sports, my favorite are swimming, cycling, rollerblading and skiing. Also my favorites are theatre and cinema and my passion is traveling.

I have two brothers and two sisters: Rauno(33), Ardo(23), Reelika(30) and Vesta(43). Rauno and Vesta are having their own families and childres already and I usually look after them on weekends.

I have bachelor in law and I was working for Estonian police for almost 10 years. I mainly dealed with kids, giving them some traffic seminars at school, also with kids misbehaving or commiting crimes, or kids being the victims by themselves. Three years ago I had chance to try teaching kids in Egypt, and I accepted that opportunity to try myself. This experience has been wonderful, but unfortunatelly the political situation there changet dramatically and I was forced to leave. But I took excellent experience there during this 3 years. :)

I was working as teacher for grade 1 for the last 3 years in Cairo, so I am used to play and involve kids to activities that help them to develope. my favorite age groups are from 4-8 years, but I feel comfortable with all kids and usually kids adore me. :)

Last 4 months I was staying in Ireland working with a familly of 3 girls, 7, 5, 2.5 yrs. I stayed in Ireland till the beginning of February.

I like to communicate with people, I am patient, reliable, and honest. I prefer working with kids, but feel free dealing with all age groups, from infants to eldery.
