Au Pair job description
We are looking for a warm, energetic young lady to care for our 3 girls aged 1, 3 and 5. We would need you to transport the 2 older girls to/from school, and provide fun, safe, stimulating activities during the day for our 1 y/o and 3 y/o when she is home from preschool. Your primary responsibility is to care for our kids, housework and errands are definitely second in line. You will need to provide breakfast and lunch for the kids while they are home.
Your work hours would be approx. 8a-4:30p, M-F, and maybe some evenings for date-nights.
We would pay you a salary as opposed to hourly - which can be discussed, and would define clear boundaries together so everyone is comfortable living together and so you know when your work day ends.
Family's Message to Au Pair
Our family consists of Dan (aged 30), Kathryn (aged 28), Katie (5), Karis (3), and Claire (6 months). We are a close-knit family who enjoy activities with friends, sports (playing and watching), camping, movies .... playing board games etc...
Both Dan and I played sports in college, and enjoy being active. We love time spent with other couples and young families, but like our date nights to the driving range as well! Our girls can be best described as tom-boy-princesses. They love to beat daddy up when he comes home while wearing their princess dresses and high heels.
Dan works as a tech-support lead for a Web-Design company and I'm a hospital social worker.
Katie is our quiet, serious one who take on her role as big-sister quite seriously. She is nurturing and focus. Karis is the family clown. Loud, energetic, hilarious and outgoing. Claire is incredibly laid-back, and always ready to give you a smile.
We are a Christian family (Baptist/Mennonite) and would absolutely love for our nanny to share in the same beliefs. Someone who would be willing to share this with the girls throughout the day would be a definite asset.
We realize that having you spend so much time with our girls, and living together, this is a team-effort and we value your input and would create rules and expectations together with the hope that there would be good and open lines of communication.
