Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear host family, I’m very thankful for visiting my profile. My name is Agnes. I was born 19 September 1993. I come from Poland. I live in the village – Kusieta, which is near to the city Czestochowa. I graduated from high school on April. I wrote my mature exam (they’re similar to A-levels in UK) and I will get a results on the ending of June. I’m going to study at the University of Aberdeen or Dundee in 2013. Now you know reason why I want to be au-pair. I’d like to know better United Kingdom, place, where I’ll be learning and living for few years or even more before I start study. I think it’s very difficult for me to make being student in UK in this year. I’m late with my preparation about it. This “gap year” I want to spend with knowing a new country, learning English, preparing to TOEFL and to study abroad. About me... honestly, I’m one of the most cheerful people you may know in the world. I smile all the time and everybody tells me that it’s very contagious. I’m reliable person - if I say something I do everything to keep word. I’m responsible for what I taking. I’m interested in English and Spanish culture, different kind of music and politics. I like singing and reading books. I have a lot of dreams and constantly I try to make them come true – one of that is studying abroad and another writing and then publishing my book. I have a big family. I’m the youngest. The oldest brother – Piotr (27 y.o.) has own family with two daughters (Zuzia- 2,5 y.o., Maja- 8 months). He builds his house, so little girls are very often at my home and I love spending time with them. I have the other brother and two sisters. Our foursome still live with parents. My dad has big family too. We always see with them on Sunday - we meet at grandmother’s house. Uncles and aunts want to talk each other so I spend this time with their children who are at the different age (Igor- 6 y.o., Oliwia- 4 y.o., Wiktor- 1 y.o.). In my opinion my family means our animals too. I love them very much. We have two dogs (one- Marble - lives inside my house, one – Tiger- outside). We have a cat and rabbit too. Why I think I’ll be good au-pair? I love children. I have a good contact with them thanks to my family. I joined to the volunteer regarding to children year ago. I became Kids Entertainer. I helped with organize and existence “half” camp for children (we were spending winter holidays with them by creating their time more interesting). I was looking after a children at 6-9 age group. I believe that I learnt the most important things about looking after small child thanks to one situation that took a place in my life. My mother was sitter for our little cousine, who was at our home every day for about 10 hours. She had 1 year old and my mother looked after her before she grew and she could go to the kindergarten. She shared with me her huge experience (as you noticed she brought up 5 children). You must wonder how am I really. But you don’t figure it out after reading this letter regrettably.
