Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Dear future host family,

With this letter I would like to introduce myself to you, so that you can get an idea of who I am, what my interests are and why I would love to extend another year in the USA.

My name is Hennie , I'm 21 years old and I originally live in the Netherlands in a small town called Urk. Urk is a small town with 18679 inhabitants that is situated in the north part of the Netherlands. Before i came to the USA to work as an aupair i worked in a fish processing company, and as a babysitter in my spare time, all of the jobs were in my town.

I lived with my family, My father (Teun44) works in a cheese processing company. My mother (Mieneke 43) works in a bakery. I've got one sister (Eline 17), she's a student. I've got a great relationship with all of them; we're a close family, we share everything, we always go on holidays with the whole family, have dinner together, and attend church together.

I'm interested in extending an other year as an au pair, because I'd like to broaden my horizon now i've seen the West coast i would love to go to the East coast . I live in California, San Fransisco now with a lovely family with 2 boys (Remy 11 and Brody 8) and a dog a great dane. They would want me to stay the next year as well but support my decision of wanting to see another part of the USA. Also i babysit for 2 other family's in my sparetime while the boys are in school, thats a family with a girl 4 and boy 2 and a family with 3 boys 3, 2 and 6 monts. This was in cooperation with my hf.

I'm really fascinated how everything is so different in the USA, like raising up the children, the culture, the people, their lifestyle. I'm very flexible and I adapt easily to different surroundings as I'm very interested in foreign cultures, languages and people, of course I hope to meet new friends and become part of my new host family!

My hobbies are soccer, I played soccer about 3 years 2 times a week, I'd like to run, hanging out with friends, Shopping, being creative like scrap booking and sewing , and of course traveling.

My current hostfamily says I'm enthusiastic, active, responsible, reliable, social and open minded. I hope to become your new au pair soon, I think I can be an asset to your family.
