Au Pair job description
We are a 5 member family. My children, Carlos, Gonzalo y Alonso are 7, 5 and 3 years old. I (Sara) work as a trainning consultant and my husband (Carlos) works as a financial system advisor. We both work in Madrid (Spain in a residential area near the capital. We live in a terraced house in Las Rozas, 15 minutes far from the center of Madrid. Swimming pool, tennis court and garden available al our development. Bus stop al the main entrance and open areas to ride a bike, footing, and other leisure activities. Madrid is an exciting city to visit with a lot of lovely and historical sites. We are looking for a student interested in living a familiar experience with us. We expect a person to live with us as part of our family, a big sister for the children, someone responsible, easy-going and patient. We will ask her to speak in English with them all the time I want her to take care of the children in the evenings sharing with them activities as swimming, playing tennis, reading, doing arts &crasfts, etc and speaking English in an informal environment. Children are attending a bilingual programme at school (English and Spanish). Carlos and Gonzalo are well-behaved kids who enjoy being outdoors. We practise several sport activities in weekends, as padel, skating, etc and I we would like you to join us if you like. They have lots of friends who live close to our house so they have quite a big "social life" for their age. Light housework including vaccuming, dusting, preparing the table for meal times and emptying the dishwasher will be required as a member of the family. We have a very friendly house cleaner for hard duties. We are extremely tidy at home....we want YOU to be tidy and take care of our house as we do. We wake up in the morning at 7.30 am and children go to the school. Our aupair would be free to study Spanish at her leisure until 5.00 pm. From 5.00 pm to 9.00 will be taking care of children with our help. We will also expect you to be babysit (either on fridays or saturdays night). You will be free Saturdays evenings and Sundays. We have a room for you so you will have your private area.
We use to go on a trip on Saturdays and to plan some guided tours in Madrid or its surroundings (Segovia, Salamanca, Toledo…). If you want to visit Salamanca (one of the most beautiful cities in Spain) you will be welcoming as our grandma lives there and she will be willing to give you accommodation. We are sure our aupair will be able to improve her knowledge of Spanish whilst enjoying Spanish culture and familiar activities with us. We can offer you a pocket money in order to help you with your personal expenses.
