Au Pair job description
The main motivation for us to find a native English speaker au pair is to provide our kids opportunities for them to immerse themselves into a native English speaking environment, as US citizens they need to be prepared at least from language and culture perspectives before go back to US for their high school.
You need to be a native speaker of English or have had your whole education done in English throughout your lifetime. We will NOT consider anyone with just ok or good English.
Kids go to school during day time, as au pair, your job is to PLAY with them, be their friends, help them grow and experience life when they are back home or during the weekend. (We do not expect you to do housekeeping works except you need to clean up your own)
You need to show your love, care for children, be patience and set a role model for them, so that they are very good cared and know what is right and what is wrong but not spoiled.
You will have your own bed room, live, eat, even some time travel with us, just as part of our family. .
Family's Message to Au Pair
Dear Au Pair / Nanny,
We are returning Chinese family with extensive international exposures currently live in Beijing, China. We have two healthy and happy boys, 3 & 8. We are looking forward to have you join us to become part of our family.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions.
---
My wife and I are originally from Beijing, China, we worked/lived overseas many years before we came back as returning Chinese, we speak English and of course perfect Mandarin (native speaker), also have reasonable good understandings on western culture.
We have two boys, Tim and Lucas, both born in US, Tim is 8+ who is attending one of the best primary schools now and Lucas is 3, we are planning to enroll him to a full time kindergarten this fall. Tim lived in US for while and attended international school in Beijing, so he speaks English too.
We are very happy family, our parents and relatives also live in Beijing. We also have many friends who have similar background like us and we always try to get together as much as we can. We also have a live-in maid.
We enjoy good food, travelling, reading, spending quality time with other family members.
