Au Pair's Message to Families

How are you? I hope you doing fine!

First of all, I want to thank you very much for thinking about choosing me to be a part of your family. My name is Kasjana , I’m 18 years old and I live in beautiful city in west Poland called Zielona Góra. If you translate it into English – Green Hill. It is lovely name, isn’t it? I am going to high school, this is my senior year.

Are you wondering why you should choose me to be your Au Pair? The answer is very simple! I'm energetic, happy, caring and patient. I want to be "older sister" for kids. I'll do my best to keep them safe. I have great contact with children. My home is always full of kids.

How about my experience? I am volunteer at “Caritas clubs” for kids from poor or dysfunctional family (from 7 to 13 years). I have to help them with their homework, help preparing food and make them have fun and being safe at the same time. What is more, I was taking care of two sweet sister – Ola, four years old and Iga, five years old. I was working with them after my school. I took girls from the kindergrten, doing "show" with them, reading books, playing with them, bathing and putting girls to bed. Sometimes I was doing food shopping for them too. Ola used to eat by herself, but I had to help Iga with her “spoon feeding”. I was supervising them while they were playing. Additionally, I was doing housework, like ironing and cleaning. For one year I was babysitting Dawid (3 years old). I was feeding him, putting him to bed, reading bed story. We were playing together and I was preparing meals for him. I also was babysitting little Magda. I was taking care of her, when she was 1 year to 1 year and 10 months. She was so sweet and funny! I had to feeding her with the bottle, bathing, burping her and putting her to bed. I loved played with Magda. I really enjoyed the time I spend with her.

I have good reference, which I can show you. I also have a criminal record check.

I have sister, Linda, fifteen years old and brother, Olaf, eight years old. I often take care of my brother; we love spending time together. We are playing together, doing his homework and preparing meals. Sometimes I spend with him all day. As a family, we like travelling, eating together and having fun.

I'm open-mined person, patient, nice and helpful. I am easy-going. I don't need much time, to think about new game or other activities with kid. I like reading out load, writing/thinking about new "show" with kids. I also can teach them some simple dances.

I want to work as an Au Pair, because I love kids, I love spending time with them and I have good children experience. What is more, I want to be an Au Pair becasue I think this is great opportunity for me. I will have the possibility to improve my language skills, learn about other cultures, and work with kids. I get on well with kids very soon.

I don't have any special diet and I am not a vegetarian.

I do not have my driver's license yet. I am taking course for it, but it is very long – 30 hours of theory and 30 hours (or even more) of practice. I am still going to high school and taking care of children, so I am slowly finishing the course. But I think, I'm going to finish it, before I become an Au Pair.
