Au Pair's Message to Families
Dear Family,
I am excited about joining you as an au pair! I am currently in Poland waiting for Confirmation of Polish Citizenship. I was born and raised in Michigan, United States, but spent 2 years living in Madrid, Spain during high school and college, so I speak fluent Spanish. I also spent two summers in Poland and speak a little Polish. I am the oldest of 4 children. I have a brother who is 23, and two sisters 22 and 18. In 2008 I earned a Bachelor or Arts degree with a concentration in geography. After that I spent a year in Spain taking Master's courses in Geographic Information Systems. I then spent some time volunteering and taking some Polish courses in Poland, and then I was working for 1/2 year in Michigan. After being an au pair I hope to find employment either with the government or with an international aid organization. I am a practicing Catholic, so I do need the opportunity to go to Sunday Mass while living with my au pair family. I don't need them to share my beliefs, just to be respectful of them. I look forward to not just taking care of your kids, but being part of your family for time I will be with you. I'd prefer a shorter stay of around 1-3 months, but I am open to the possibility of staying longer depending on the circumstances. I can't wait to start this adventure and would be happy to answer any questions that you may have and that you didn't have answered from my profile. I'm looking forward to having a great experience as an au pair, and I hope we can share some good memories together! ~Danielle~
