Au Pair or Nanny job description

We are a busy family of 6; two working parents and 4 healthy children (ages 13, 11, 4, 3 years). We live in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, close to many education, social and cultural options.

We currently have a full time nanny that primarily cares for children during the day. In a typical day the older two are in school until 4pm with sports and social activities after school. For the younger two, one enters school this fall- she is there until noon, the youngest stays at home with the full time nanny the little ones have limited commitments. We are looking for flexible help primarily in the late afternoons/evenings and on weekends so we can have some individual time with the children. I am a physician with a call schedule of 3-4 days per month, and as a result, we would like help those days while I am away, working in the hospital.

Driving is essential and a vehicle will be available for use. Assisting the children with clean up is expected and we would look for the au pair to delegate age appropriate responsibilites to each child.

Dear Au Pair,

We would love to invite you into our house and for you to be an addition to the family. With our busy household (4 children aged 3 years to 13 years) there is always something going on and something to do. We have full-time nanny that helps during the day, but Dad and I are hoping to have help accomodating all of the activities that our children have engaged in which often run into the evening and encompass some of the weekends. The older two are 13 & 11 years and the younger two are 4 & 3 years old. They all have fun, but the separation in ages makes life somewhat hectic because of their different needs.

Life is good. Everyone is healthy and happy. We believe a little additional help from a loving, energetic Au Pair could add a sense of calm to it all. We can be flexible with your school and personal schedule.

We currently have an Au Pair who will be leaving at the end of September. She's been wonderful! We are currently signed up with Au Pair International agency and would like the new Au Pair to be available to work with our current agency.
